Mystery Incorporated UK isn't the prettiest comic on the web. It isn't the best written either. It might just be the most British though.
Like most of the best ideas in mankind's history, MI_UK was thought up at the pub. The concept sprang from the fact that the 'pesky kids' of Scooby Doo didn't act like teenagers at all - no swearing, no drinking, no talking about sex. MI_UK re-imagines the 'Mystery Incorporated' concept with sceptical English 'kids' who do all of the above - and no talking dog. MI_UK is written by Jacob, who's a student; and drawn by Robyn, who isn't.
It also has a facebook page, if you're so inclined http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mystery-Incorporated-UK-webcomic/125399417508231
(DISCLAIMER: Though appearance and names of the main cast are based (with consent) upon actual persons the characters' personalities are fabricated, or else twisted and exaggerated so far as to no longer realistically represent their namesake.)
In my head, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire have this Springfield-Shelbyville style rivalry. In reality there's just a much milder rivalry between he two main settlements in each - Nottingham and Derby, and Mansfield and Chesterfield. I think this goes back to the Civil War, and the miner's strike didn't help (Notts didn't strike since its coal seams were deeper and had only been accessed comparitivley recently, so there was no risk of them being closed at the time).
I really should have warned people that they might learn something by reading this.
Anyway, I've got nothing against Derby(shire) personally, just doing my but for the team...
